Glen
Dave Christenberry, 79, of Panama, OK passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in
Little Rock, AR. Glen was born March 2,
1941 in a small white house on Williams Road in Shady Point, OK to Curtis &
Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Christenberry.
Glen attended church with his Momma & Dad. Later he milked cows in Soquel, CA. He operated a backhoe. Glen had one son, David in 1964 from his
first marriage. He opened “The
Westerner” in Soquel allowing him to put his son through college. In 1983 his marriage ended. He met Diane in 1984. Glen retired and they
married and moved to Oklahoma in 1991 to raise his second family, Rebecca &
Randi. Glen got bored with retirement
and opened another western store called “River Valley Western Wear”; which he
closed in 1995 to pursue the Poultry Farm industry. During his poultry farm operating he began
driving truck for Gene Davlin (Elite Trailers) and then sold his poultry
operation in 2001. He then drove full-time for Elite for the next 19+
years. Glen loved a good movie with a
bowl of popcorn. He loved his quiet
time. His grandchildren were his heart
and soul. Glen was preceded in death by
his parents; brother, Don; nephew, Craig; and grandson, Hunter Garrett
Jacobson.
Survivors include Diane of the home; son, David Christenberry of
San Jose, CA; daughters, Rebecca Murray of Ft. Smith, AR & Randi Eden of Panama, OK; 6
grandchildren, Amber, Ethan & Ashley Murray, Hailey Mead, Nadilee &
Emma “EJ” Eden; many other family and friends.
The family sends a special thanks to Gene & Susan Davlin.
Memorial services will be held 2 pm,
Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Evans Chapel
in Poteau. “Rest in Peace
