Harold Everett Morris, 90, of Pocola, OK passed away
Thursday, July 9, 2020 in Pocola. Harold
was born November 28, 1929 in Spiro, OK to Homer & Ollie Rmeda (McKinney)
Morris. He was a veteran of the US Army
& Navy. Harold was preceded in death
by his parents and wife, Betty. Harold
loved to fish and hunt. He was known as
the “crappie whisperer”. He was a Free
Will Baptist minister and attended Cavanaugh Free Will Baptist Church. After 27 years he retired from Rheem Manufacturing as a Maintenance
Supervisor. He was a man who had
unconditional love for people.
Survivors include his children,
William “Bill” Morris of Pocola, OK, Roger Morris of Ft. Smith, AR, Harold
Morris Jr. of Rio Linda, CA, Sherry Morris of Tulsa, OK, Laurie Lee of
Sallisaw, OK, Gaylene Morris of Ft. Smith, AR, Ginger Morris of LaPine, OR;
numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 am, Monday, July 20, 2020 at Evans Memorial Chapel
in Pocola with Jim Cook officiating.
Pallbearers will be William Morris Jr., Nicholas Mabry, Alan Lee, Austin
Tidwell, Kyle Morris & Alan Goforth.
Honorary pallbearer will be Paul Edwards. Interment will be at Ft. Smith National
Cemetery at 11 am.
The family will be at the funeral
home in Pocola on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 2-4 pm to visit with relatives
& friends. Masks required.
I am so thankful to have known Brother Harold from church. He was always so kind and thoughtful and we enjoyed sitting by him these past few years. It has been a pleasure and honor to know him and I know he is having a Wonderful time in Heaven with Betty and Jesus!!No more suffering trying to catch his breath. You are all in our prayers.
