Cortnie Lea Brown

Cortnie Lea Brown was 27 when she left this world and will be remembered as a beautiful, smart and talented young woman.  She deeply loved her two children, Ava (5) and Ella (1).  Her dad, brothers and Granny provided immense support to her in the last days of her life and always believed in her.  She recently bragged about granny’s cooking and said she was gaining weight.
We believe Cortnie would want her family and friends to know how much she loved them.  She would also encourage anyone struggling to not try and fight their battles alone, but to lean on those that will love and support you through the storms of life.
Cortnie will always be loved and be forever in our hearts.  We believe she is finally home.  She will always be her daddy’s little girl.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Denver ‘Papa’ Duval Brown of Cameron, OK; grandmothers, Leasie ‘LeLe’ Cain  & Becky ‘MeMaw’ Burkholder of Bearden, AR.
Cortnie is survived by her father, Denver Nubbin Brown of Cameron, OK; mother, Shelia Clemons of Bearden, AR; daughters, Ava Lea & Ella Nikole Drake; father of her daughters, Damion Drake all of Belton, TX; brothers, Layne  Cain of Bearden, AR, Caleb Cain of Cameron, OK; sisters, Olivia Dennis of Camden, AR, Hollis Cain of Pine Bluff, AR; grandmother, Melba Brown of Cameron, OK; grandfathers, John Clemons and Don Cain of Bearden, AR; nieces, Kenslea Owens of Poteau, OK, Izabella & Baylee Cain of Bearden, AR, Lexi Schreckhise of Spiro, OK; nephew, George Morning III of Poteau, OK; other loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am, Saturday, May 23, 2020 graveside at Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, OK.  Visitation – Friday 6-8 pm.
