James
R. “Snoball” Womack, 87, of Keota, OK entered into rest Thursday, April 23,
2020. He was born November 15, 1932 in
Midland, AR to Lewis A. & Mildred (Jett) Womack. James graduated from Cameron High School in
1953. While there he excelled in
basketball and baseball. After
graduation he went to Pontiac, MI where he met and married Sally L. Smith on
April 23, 1955. They moved to Perry, OK
and he worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Transportation for 26
years. Upon retirement they moved to
Keota, OK. James was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wanda Fultz.
He is survived by his wife of 65
years; four children, Craig J. (Terry) of Edmond, OK, Janell K (Harold) of
Cameron, OK, Jeffery L. and David S. (Alisa) of Perry, OK. Other survivors include his sisters, Alice
Ortiz, Margaret Walters (John), Barbara Candelaria and brother, Bob Womack
(Judy); 2 grandsons, Tyrel Bryan (Nicole), Jason St. Clair; 2 granddaughters,
Lisa McCarty (Earl), Billy Jo Vincent (David); 2 great grandchildren, Dakota
and Mikhaila McCarty; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Graveside services were Monday, April
27, 2030 at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK.
Sally, I just heard about Snowball passing this afternoon. I'm so sorry...you have my condolences and prayers. He and Frank were great friends, and I'm sure they have already had a heavenly reunion. Stay safe from the virus and hold on to your many happy memories. Ruthann Shiflett
