Jack Oehlschlager, 82, of Poteau, OK passed away February
18, 2020 in Fort Smith, AR. Jack was born in Colorado Springs, CO on September
19, 1937, to William H. and Lucile (Kinkade) Oehlschlager. In 1950, he
moved to Branch, AR where he graduated from County Line High School. He served
two years in the Army. He moved his family to Oklahoma in 1968 where he became
a cattle rancher. He loved spending time with his friends, his children and
grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Elva. He
is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Jackie & Ronnie Schornick of
Allen, TX; son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Christy Oehlschlager of
Lexington, OK; 3 grandchildren, Marie Schornick, David Oehlschlager, Susan
Hayward & husband, Braydon Hayward & two great-grandchildren, Orson
Youmans & Jackson Oehlschlager; sister Mildred Stovall and husband, Benny,
of Bentonville, AR; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, OK
with the Reverend Jim Cook officiating.
Interment: Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore, OK. Pallbearers will be Randy Duncan, Rob Lawrence, Tim Renfro, Phil Hamlin, Todd Atha & Ronnie Bell; honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Harrison, Jeff Jenson, Jim Wyatt, Earnest Garcia, Mick Whitman. The family will visit with friends on
Thursday evening Feb. 20, from 6-8 pm.
