My first day of coal mining is when I met Chris. He took me in and made me feel at ease about being in a deep dark hole in the ground where most men would not want to be. To him and my other coal mining brothers it was just another day at work. Chris was a very smart man. And a lot of the time some would say they didn't like him because of his arrogance and his in your face attitude. But that was Chris, but like him or not, to us coal miners he is a brother to us and will be missed. Chris when you get upstairs and get to meet the big guy, step out of the dark and into the light my brother.
