Jeri Marler


Jeri Lynn Marler, 48, of Poteau, OK passed away Saturday, February 09, 2019 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Jeri was born August 24, 1970 in Poteau.  She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend.  Jeri worked as a Child Welfare Specialist for 23 years.  She enjoyed music, movies, shopping, playing cards,  and spending time with her loved ones.  She was quick-witted and loved to laugh.  Most people were drawn to Jeri’s infectious laughter and smile.  She also had a huge heart loving all of her friends and family dearly.  She was preceded in death by her  parents, Jesse & Anna Ward &  Sharon Henderson.

          Survivors include her husband, Carl Marler of Poteau; daughter, Jennifer Marler of Madill, OK; son, Bryce Marler of Poteau; brothers & sisters, Crystal Fout & Alan  of Poteau, Diane, Shauna, Gary, Tobey & Derrick Henderson of Poteau; grandchildren, Kayden Armstrong, Brantley and Braxton Bridgman of Madill, OK;  aunts & uncles, Sue & Gerald Oliver of Heavener, OK, Tommy & Carolyn Ward of Wister, OK, Larry & Kathy Ward of Tyler, TX; nieces & nephews, Ariel Cardenas, Jessica Oldaker, Nichole Oliver, Colton Jones, Jessica & Jasmine Henderson, Anali, Amoriana & Anai Sanchez, Aiden, Alex, Andrez Damian, Kira, Kaitlyn & Violet Henderson; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.  Pallbearers will be Eric Bridgman, Christopher Dorosh, Aaron Good, Jess Callahan, Cody Wann,  Jarod Ridenour.  Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Fout and Ramon Espinosa.  The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives and friends.

  4. We went to school from 8th through 12th grade. Haven't seen you to much after high school, but was glad to get to reconnect with you on Facebook. You are a very Sweet lady and will be missed.
