Gary Keith Taylor, 71, of
Shady Point, OK passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in Fayetteville, AR. Gary was born December 20, 1946, in Poteau,
OK to Willard Keith & Helen Ione (Branson) Taylor. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in
Vietnam. He received the rank of
Specialist E-6. Gary was awarded the
Purple Heart, Four-Leaf Clover, Silver Star, & more to be listed later. He was preceded in death by his
parents & brother in law, Robert Farmer.
Survivors include his wife
of 25 years, Abigail; sons, Lundy Taylor & wife Cindy of Stilwell, OK,
Dusty Taylor & wife Tonya of Tampa, FL; daughters, Elizabeth Forman &
husband Bryan of Meeker, OK, Sarah Scarberry & husband Vernon, Jr. of
Heavener, OK; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Farmer of
Tulsa, OK; uncle, Bob Branson of Poteau, OK; Aunt, Oleta Taylor of Alma, AR;
other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Friday, February 23, 2018 at Victory Worship Center, Spiro, OK with Rev. Bryan
Fouts officiating. Interment will follow
in Shady Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lundy Taylor, Dusty Taylor, David
McFarland, Bryan Forman, Vernon Scarberry, Daniel Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tex Williamson,
Roger Kite, Billy Hammers, Bob Branson, Bobby Marchant, Harry Killion, Mike
Doyle & Dennis Doyle.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
