William Arthur
"Bill" Mooneyham, 91, was born June 15, 1926 in Cameron, OK. August 11, 2017, Bill closed his eyes and
awoke in Heaven, greeted by his daughter, Jeannie Gail; his parents, Charlie
& Francis Mooneyham; three brothers, Clyde, Otho & Bob; and his sister,
Vivian DuBoise. Bill worked to support
his parents & siblings from the age of 13.
He joined the Navy at age 17 and was aboard the U.S. Carter Hall during
World War II. He returned to
Cameron and married Lucille Didway
August 3, 1946. The couple just
celebrated their 71st anniversary. Bill
chose to attend the Tulsa Barber College and earned his Master Barber
Certification. He recently retired,
completing 69 years as a barber. Bill
was well known for all the antiques in his barber shop, his historical
story-telling and making mind puzzles.
As a deacon of the Pleasant
Valley Free Will Baptist Church for 51 years, he truly had a servant' s
heart. He was willing to help others in
need and some days he gave more free haircuts than those that were paid
for. His strong work ethic and personal
desire to provide for his family drove him to always be productive.
Bill is survived by his
wife, Lucille of the home; son, Ronny Mooneyham and Kellie of Fort Smith, AR;
daughters & their husbands, Joyce & Kenneth House of Cameron, Cheryl
& Kevin Brown of Midwest City. He was blessed with nine grandchildren,

My dear, dear Friend from Pleasant Valley FWB Church. A true man of God who always inspired me to be a better Christian.
ReplyDeleteMy Uncle Bill just got promoted to heaven.
ReplyDeleteAs a child, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents. Bill (9 1/2 year older than me) taught me many things.
When Leo and I married, It was Bill and Lucille that gave us our wedding shower. We still have the wooden rolling pin, that Jeannie passed around for everyone to sign.
Your life has been a wonderful example, and we cherish the many memories that live on in our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones during this time of loss.
