Raymond Ray Cripps, 96, of
Wister, OK passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Wister. Raymond was born in Franklin County, AR to
William & Stella (Smith) Cripps on July 14, 1920. He was a coal miner, a lifelong member of the
Wister community and also the Ellis Chapel Church. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents;
wife Mary (5/23/2013); 2 sons and 1 daughter.
Survivors include his
daughters & sons in law, Judy & Mike Lovett of Wister, OK, Mary Gayle & Tony
Newman of Pocola, OK, Patricia & Jerry Davis of Heavener, OK; sons &
daughter in law, Bill & Ann Cripps
and Jarrod Cripps of Wister, OK; 26 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren;
other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Monday, September 5, 2016 at Ellis Chapel Church, Wister, OK with Rev. Charlie
Scott officiating. Interment will follow
in Ellis Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be his son, Jarrod Cripps & grandsons, Michael Boman, Nathan Cripps, Jerry Don Davis,
Billy Shane Cripps, Dustin Cripps, Terry Davis, Matt Cripps, Jason Boman and
Josh Lovett.
