Sylvia Jean Thompson
Chestine, 71, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 in
Poteau. Sylvia was born May 30, 1944 in
Washington . Sylvia spent the majority of her life in
Poteau except for 20 years in Dallas where her husband worked for Methodist
Hospital. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Jimmie Chestine; her birth mother, Virginia Morris; stepfather,
Charley Morris; brother, Bellany Morris; grandparents, Jessie May & Benjamin Harrison "Buster" Goins.
Survivors include her
daughters, Deborah Thompson England of Panama, OK, Kay & Mike Hargrove of
Poteau, OK; grandchildren, Chris Hancock
of Tulsa, OK, Krystal Jordan of Panama, OK, Matthew Battles, Tiffany Battles of
Tulsa, OK, Julie Hargrove of Poteau, OK; great grandchildren, Brooklyn &
Tristan Jordan, Starla Battles and JJ Hearton; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Monday, March 21, 2016 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion with burial following.
