Delmer Lee Benson, 97,
of Heavener, OK passed away Thursday,
February 18, 2016 in Poteau. Delmer was
born October 31, 1918 in Heavener, Ok to Marvin C. & Lanie H. (Jackson)
Benson. He was a blacksmith. Delmer was a member of the Assembly of
God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife,
Altie Mae Benson; sons, Jesse & Eugene.
Survivors include his
Daughters, Virginia Hickman of Reserve, NM, Peggy & Bill Terry of Poteau,
OK, Carolyn & John Evans of Lovings,
OK, Janis & Dewayne Tucker of Hackett, AR, Patricia Benson of the home;
sons, Bobby Benson of Heavener, OK, Kenneth & Virginia Benson of Pryor, OK;
numerous grand, great and great great
grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev.
Donald Benefield and Jim Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in Hontubby Cemetery, Hontubby, OK.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
