Betty Jo James, 84, of
Shady Point, OK passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Ft. Smith, AR. Betty was born July 26, 1931 in Bokoshe, OK
to John Henry & Audie (Barnes) Deaton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hampton James; her parents;
grandson, John James; brothers, Lonnie, Jackie & Hartwell; sisters, Vida,
Lois, Gayle, Elnor Mae & Ethel.
Survivors include her
children, Beverly & Harry Killian of Shady Point, OK, Debbie & Wayne
McDonald of Muldrow, OK, Janie & Kevin Sims of Shady Point, Gary James of
Shady Point, Danny James of Panama, OK, Bryan & Erin James of Durant, OK;
16 grandkids, 30 great grandkids, 3 great great grandkids; sisters, Bessie
Crane, Imogene Holmes, Kay Gartamaker; brother, Johnny Lee Deaton; numerous nieces, nephews,
other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Tuesday, December 15, 2015 graveside at James Cemetery, Calhoun, OK with Rev.
Jim Cook & Bro. Keith Williams officiating.
Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Scott & Michael Killian, Tim McDonald, Jason James, J.D. & Jamie Armstrong, Jimmie Hamlet.
The family will have
visitation at the home beginning at 5 pm Monday at her home.
There will be no viewing at
the funeral home or at the funeral per Betty Jo's request.
