James Dale Wooten, 82, of
Benton, AR (formerly of Wister, OK) went to be with his Lord & Savior Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his home in Benton, AR. He was a member of Spring Creek
Baptist Church in Benton James was born December 12, 1932 in Wister, OK to
James "Harvey" & Ruby Lee (Thompson) Wooten. James was a truck driver for 33 years earning
2 - 1 million miles awards with a personal accident-free driving record. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist
Church in Benton. James Dale had a love
for animals and anything that he could feed or tame. He was preceded in death by his wonderful
parents; 3 brothers, Clifford Paul, Clem Doyle and Ronnie Lee Wooten; sister,
Cledith Clydean; his wife of 33 years, Mary "Joann" (Sims) Wooten;
ex-wife, Patricia Ann (McDaniel) Wooten; sons, James Jr. (Wiege) Terry Mike,
Jack Layne, Alan Keith; daughter, Patricia "Patty" Lynn Perry.
Survivors include daughters
Carol (Earnest) Tinkle of Mabelvale, AR, Rita (Jerry) Bryant of Benton, AR;
sons, Kevin Joe of Little Rock, AR, Mark Wayne of Benton; 15 Grandchildren; 25
Great Grandchildren; brothers of Wister, OK, Lonnie, Gary, Robert, &
Donnie; sisters, Doris Duvall, Ramona Vaughn and Linda Brannon of Wister,
OK; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Sunday at Ellis Chapel Church in Wister, OK with Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel
Cemetery.
Deepest condolences to Jims family. I have known him since 1988 and can honesly say he was one of the finest men that I have ever had the privilage of knowing. He and Joanna were neighbors if mine for many years and friends for even more years.
