Neal Doggett

    Winston O'Neal "Neal" Doggett Jr., 71,  of Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in Poteau.  Neal was born December 8, 1943 in Ft. Worth, TX to Winston O'Neal Sr. & Virginia Scott Doggett.  Neal was a veteran of the US Navy.  He was a retired line operator at Bremner  and also General Motors.  Neal had such a heart for his family, totally devoted to his children and all his grandchildren.  He was loved by so many for his random theatrics to his silly humor he enjoyed making people laugh and loved to laugh himself.  His family will always remember his one-eye closed smile and his sitcom one liners.  Neal was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Plummer.

     Survivors include his daughter & son in law, Sandra Lynn & Joseph Lynn Skinner of Poteau, OK; son & daughter in law, Christopher O'Neil & Brook Doggett of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren, Alyxandra  Doggett, Dylan Fifield, Kynden Skinner, Mayzie, Zoey and Jaxtyn Doggett; nephew; Kerry Plummer; niece Sissy Leonard;  the mother of his children, Sherrie Kay Michelson of Independence, MO; other relatives, loved ones and many friends.

     Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.  Pallbearers will be Joseph Skinner, Dylan Fifield, Christopher Doggett, Kerry Plummer, Kyler Plummer and Dwayne Leonard.

   In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the DAV .

The family will be at the funeral  home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm  to visit with relatives & friends.
