Syble Marteen (Hemphill)White was born February 27, 1932 in
Reichert, Oklahoma to James Hemphill and Opal (Cogburn) Hemphill. She passed
away April 8th to her Heavenly home at the age of 83 years. She was the oldest
of three daughters. On March 3, 1948 she married the love of her life O.J. White.
To this union five children were born and they raised their children in a
loving Christian home. She worked as a cashier several years at the Riverside
Red-X in Riverside, Missouri
and then several years for Muehlbach Thriftway in Parkville, Missouri.
Syble was very creative and enjoyed ceramics, sewing, crocheting and knitting.
She loved having her family together for holiday dinners. Syble & O.J. were
members of Open Door Baptist
Church and later, New Covenant
Church.
Syble is preceded in death by her parents, sister Dona Newell, infant granddaughter Emily Faxon.
Survivors include her husband O.J. White of Kansas City, Missouri, sister Evelyn Brown (J.R.) of Poteau, children, Jerry White (Shirley) of Kansas City, Missouri, Janice White of St. Joseph, Missouri, David (Barbara) White of Galena, Kansas, Sheila White of Osceola, Missouri and Jeffrey Alan (Leesa) White of Kansas City, Kansas, 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, family and friends.

April 16, 2015 graveside at Reichert Cemetery, Reichert,
OK.

from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Syble and OJ were like second parents to me when Janice and I were growing up. My prayers are with all of the family at this emotional and sad time.
