Howard Ray Goins, 76, of Panama, OK passed away Tuesday,
November 11, 2014 in Poteau,
OK. Howard was born May 9, 1938 in Panama, OK
to Otto & Ola Mae (Sherfield) Goins. He was a heavy equipment
operator. Howard was a hardworker; a
proud Navy veteran; and a friend to everyone. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents;
wife, Wanda Goins; granddaughter, RaeLena Shelton; special son in law, Randy
Shelton; siblings, Levenia Newel, Orville Goins, Linda Goins, Ethelene Covey
& Pauline Cox.
Survivors include his children,
Pam Shelton of Poteau, OK, Clayton Goins of Panama, OK; grandchildren, Randa
Piovesan, Andrea Shelton, Kaylin, Darcy & Jordan Goins; great
grandchildren, John Riley Piovesan, Kolby Micheal Bray; siblings, Arnold Goins
of Panama, OK, Evelyn & AJ Hanna of Cameron, OK, Anna Sue & Jerry
Hensley of Panama, OK, Lola Seaton of Spiro, OK, Bill & Freda Goins of
Shady Point, OK, David Goins of Panama, OK; special dear friend, Doris
Beschoner of Ft. Smith, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives,
loved ones & friends.
Services will be 10 am, Saturday,
November 15, 2014 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Charlie Scott officiating. Interment
will follow in Fairview Cemetery,
Panama,
OK. Pallbearers will be Alan Hensley,
Justin Montgomery, Chuck Ryder, Jerry Hensley, Charlie Scott, Michael Scott.
The family expresses a special
thank you to Oklahoma Healthcare Solutions Staff & Advantage Hospice Staff.
The family will be at the funeral home
on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
