William Dale Sanders, 93, of Poteau, OK
passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Poteau.
William was born March 22, 1921 in Fanshawe,
OK to Snowden & Addie
(Thurman) Sanders. William owned and
operated a Grocery Store/Service Station Buffalo Valley & Summerfield. He was a veteran of the US Army, WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents;
brothers, Marvin and Eldred Sanders & sister, Juanita Gwin.
William is survived by his
wife of 73 years, Verla Dean of the home; son & daughter in law, Rick &
Phyllis Sanders of Howe, OK; granddaughters, Sheryl & husband Lester Ford
of Wister, OK, Carolyn Sanders of Howe, OK; great grandchildren, Waylon &
wife, Tiffany Goad, Shawn & wife Autumn Goad of Wister, OK , Chris &
wife Haley Copeland, Shayne Mead of
Howe, OK; 2 great great granddaughters, MacKensie Beason & Heidi Goad;
sister, Lueta Brandt and brother, Orval Sanders of California; special friends and caregivers, Shirley Rana,
Chandra & Sherman Stafford, Pat Smith, Annie Davis, Joan & Pete Fultz
& Bobby Gilstrap
Services will be 10 am,
Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
Interment will follow.
