"Bo" John William Metzker



John William “Bo” Metzker, 65, of Heavener, OK passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in Fayetteville, AR.  Bo was born October 2, 1948 in Poteau, OK to John & Oma Lee (Ward) Metzker.   Bo was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army.   He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Margaret Metzker, A.J. & Oma Lee Reynolds; mother in law & father in law, Aaron & Lila Standridge;  sister, Patsy Johnson.



Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; children, Sheila Jones of Ft. Smith, AR, Brenda & Jerry Carpenter of Wister, OK, Lila Metzker of Heavener, OK, Clay & Dana Metzker of Heavener, OK; grandchildren, Makenzie & Mason Jones, Melanie Ward, Kylee & Lane Carpenter, Bailey & Cole Adams, Trentin, Jaxon & J.D. Metzker; great grandchildren, Rylan Tobey & Jerra Ward; sisters, Shirley Young, Karol & Bob Traw, Connie & Paul Keith, Barbara & Jeff  Dunn; brothers, Michael & Robin Metzker, Eddie Metzker & Daniel Metzker; brothers in law & sisters in law, Mike & Brenda Standridge, Brenda & Mike Griffin, Sherrie Standridge, Loretta Gibson, June & John Thomas; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Evans Chapel of Memories,

Poteau, OK with Rev. Clyde Steelman officiating.  Interment will follow in Reichert Cemetery .

  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter, Michael, Aaron & Jerry Standridge, Glenn Griffin, Justin & Jason Greb, Alan Lane, David Graham, Jody Akers, Ryan Dunn, Scotty Williams, Daniel Clay Metzker.

  2. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. My heart goes out to your family. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact, God's Word refers to death as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) Very soon our loving Heavenly Father, will remove death once and for all ( Rev 21:4) and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again here on the earth.
