Joyce E. Mitchell, 66, of Poteau, OK passed away
Thursday, August 7, 2014 in Fort Smith,
AR. Joyce was born November 16, 1947 in McCroy, AR
to William Tobe Sr. & Georgia (Hoots) Holt.
She was a postal clerk. Joyce was
preceded in death by her parents; sister in law, Vicki Holt; brothers, William
Jr., Ed & James Holt. She was a
longtime postal employee in Poteau,
OK. She was loved by many in the community for
going above & beyond. She loved her
children and grandchildren; traveling and the ocean. Joyce was a member of Hosanna Fellowship.
Survivors include her sons,
Thomas Christopher Meredith and Chuck Meredith of Poteau, OK; grandchildren,
Samantha Meredith, Jarod Meredith, Thomas Meredith, Mollie Miller and Jackie
Meredith all of Poteau; great grandson, Landon LaGrand; brother, Richard Holt
of San Pablo, CA; sister, Mamie Ruth Bell of Hartford, AR; 2 lifelong friends.,
Sharon Cate & Dorothy Mathews.
Memorial services will be 6
pm, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Hosanna Fellowship, Poteau, OK
with Nathan Bain officiating.
