Growing up, I always knew there was closeness between Jerry and my family but really didn't know what that closeness meant. When my dad passed, it was evident how much Jerry missed him and expressed how much he was missing his "best fishing buddy" almost daily. You could truly tell how much he loved my dad and was hurting as we were. Since dad's death, Jerry has helped our family tremendously! I knew he felt it was something he was supposed to do for my dad. Not only was he an ear for mom to talk to but he worked with her and us getting our land ready to live on. If it had not been for Jerry, we would still be working and cleaning on the land. He gave up his days and time to take care of us. We are so blessed to have had Jerry in our lives for so many years. I will remember his distinctive laugh and sense of humor. I enjoyed listening to all his stories of friends and family. The "fishing buddies" are together once again. You will be sorely missed and thanks for all you've done for me and my family. You are loved.
