Roy Uhel Tankersley, 77, of
Cameron, OK
passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Ft. Smith, AR. Roy
was born August 20, 1936 in Bishop, TX
to Marvin & Jennie (Maple) Tankersley.
He was an electrician. Roy
was a veteran of the US Navy. He was
preceded in death by his parents; 5
brothers & his companion, Marlys Thomas.
Survivors include his
daughter, Viki Surratt of Cornelius, OR; son, Marvin Tankersley of Columbus,
OH; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Jerry Faye Ward
and Joyce Minks of Pocola, OK; brothers, Wayne Tankersley of Pocola, OK
and Paul Tankersley of Cameron, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Monday, July 7, 2014 in Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, OK
with Rev. Phil McGehee officiating. Burial
will follow in Macedonia
Cemetery, Pocola. Pallbearers - Paul Michael Tankersley, Michael Barnes,
Jimmy Eaton, Dale Pickle, Kyle Ward. Honorary
pallbearer – Dan Surrratt.
The family will be at the
funeral home in Pocola on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm to visit with relatives
& friends.
