Joshua Lee Luecking of Indianapolis,
Indiana and formerly of Poteau,
Oklahoma passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014
in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 39. Funeral services
are under the direction of Evans & Miller funeral home in Poteau, Ok. Josh was born on October 9, 1974 in Amarillo, Texas
to Bruce and LaVella Luecking. He was preceded in death by his maternal
grandparents Thomas and Geneva Sanderson, paternal grandparents Henry and Rita
Luecking, and his aunt Wynnona Winters.
Josh moved with his family to Poteau, Oklahoma in 1989
and graduated from Poteau
High School in 1993. He
moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2002 where he had been employed
as an electrician. Josh enjoyed fishing and helping others.

will have a memorial service in Indianapolis on
Saturday 12 April at 2:00 PM at the Pathways 2135 N. Alabama in Indianapolis, In, 46202
Josh is survived by his parents Bruce and
LaVella Luecking, sister Amanda (KJ) Hogrefe, and nieces Kaelyn & Kylee all
of Poteau. Josh is also survived by paternal aunts and
uncles Steve (Peg) Luecking of Chicago,
IL, Dan (Jan) Luecking of Fayetteville, Ark, Jim (Brenda) Luecking of Sidney,
IL, Nancy (Glen) Kruse of Rochester, IL, Tom (Laura) Luecking of Freeburg, IL,
Angie (Dan) Davis of Mascoutah, IL, Glenn (Kelly) Luecking of St.Libory, IL,
and Jane (Sean) Hogan of Mundelein, IL. Maternal aunts and uncles Randy (Sybil)
Sanderson of Gould, Ok, Gawain Sanderson of Hollis, Ok, Walter Sanderson of
Dodson, TX, Katie (Paul) Taylor of Midwest City, Ok, and Joe Sanderson of
Poteau, OK. Josh also leaves behind his
cousin and friend Tish Orlet other cousins, friends from Poteau, and his many friends in Indianapolis Josh struggled in life and lived it his
way. His family loved him. He will be missed. May he find peace.
Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday
11 April at the Evans and Miller funeral home in Poteau, Ok. Services will be
held on Saturday 12 April at 2:00 PM at the Evans and Miller funeral chapel,
Poteau Oklahoma with Nathan Bain pastor of Hosanna Christian Fellowship
officiating. Josh will be buried on Monday 14 April in the Dodson, Tx cemetery
beside his grandmother.
In lieu of flowers the family requests
donations be made to St. Jude’s Research
Hospital or a charity of
their choice

ReplyDeleteThat is really sad to hear about people passing away. The only thing I can really think about though is if the funeral home took care of them. I really do think of that and hope that the family does well.

My cousin, my friend of old... I love you Josh. I will miss you always. I will pray for you always. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm so sorry your smile was faded too soon........ senseless death, justice will come due.... to the creature who so thoughtlessly pulled a trigger aimed at you. ReplyDeleteJosh was the kind of person that would give anybody help that needed it. he had a heart for people. he loved people an we loved him. I am sad that this happen to suck a good person. my prayers and love go out to the Luecking family and friends.
