John Dixon Self, 79, of Poteau, OK passed away
Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Ft. Smith, AR. John was born February 5, 1935 in Shawnee, OK to Clyde G.
& Marjorie (Dixon)
Self. He was drilling superintendent for Nicklos Drilling
Co. of Houston, TX. John was preceded in
death by his parents and a daughter, Charlotte Pate of Sallisaw, OK.
Survivors include his wife,
Carol (Anklam) of the home; 4 daughters,
Gayle Johnson of Tahlequah, OK, Karen Self of Poteau, Ruth Howell of Texas
City, TX, Nancy Self of Broussard, LA; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren;
2 sisters, Norma Lattimore of Huntsville, AL, Kaye Suire of Lafayette, LA; 1
brother, Clyde E. Self of Lafayette, LA.
