Dorthy Faye Moore, 85, of Panama, OK passed away
Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Ft. Smith,
AR. Dorthy was born April 10, 1928 in Denning, AR
to Clarence E. & Clara Bell (Mayfield) Russell. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Silver Haired
Legislation, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion, lifetime member of the
VFW. Dorthy lived the motto, “We are people helping people”. She volunteered at the Panama Senior Citizens
for many years where she was instrumental in acquiring their first van. Dorthy
was also the inspector for the Panama Election Board for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Robert William Moore; daughter, Francis Ann Fox; her parents; brother, J.R.
Russell; 3 half brothers & 1 half sister.
Survivors include her
daughter Nina Johnson & husband Darris of Witcherville, AR; 3 sons, James
“Jimmy” Wesley Goff & wife Elaine of Harrison, AR, Robert W. Moore Jr.
& wife Carmen of Panama, OK, Teddy Leon Moore & wife, Susan of
Greenwood, AR; 13 grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren;
other relatives, loved ones; and many friends.
Services will be 3 pm, Monday,
April 7, 2014 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. She
will be to rest at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron.
