Charley Junior Thompson

Charley Junior Thompson, 72 of Poteau, OK entered into rest Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Ft. Smith, AR surrounded by his children.  He was born January 5, 1941 in Cameron, OK to the late Charley & Lillian (Goins) Thompson.  He was a retired diesel mechanic.  He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Allie Thompson, Mary Boling, and Anna Mae Grossnickleos; 3 brothers, Charles, Ronald, Raymond Thompson.

Charley is survived by his wife of 54 yrs, Dorothy of the home;  4 daughters & sons in law, Cindy & David Akins, LaDonna Thompson & Jeff Tadtman, Marilyn & Jason Smith, Dana Thompson. 2 sons & daughters in law, Kenneth & Darlene Thompson, Jody & Jeannie Thompson; 9 grandchildren, David William Akins, Colton Thompson, Bryce & Emma Sandstoe, Deedra, Shania & Creed Smith, Ryan & Charley Thompson; 1 great granddaughter, Zaylee Marie; 3 brothers, J.B. & Lola Thompson, Wayne & Susie Thompson, Mike & Sherry Thompson; 3 sisters, Shirlene Oliver, Eva & Jim Garrett, Brenda & Jerry May; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, many dear friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK.  Pallbearers will be Bryce Sandstoe, Colton Thompson, Will Akins, Creed Smith, Ryan Thompson, Keith Boling, Troy Boling & Evan Boling.
