Velma May Hunt , 74 , of Bokoshe, OK passed away Thursday, March 23, 2013 in Fort Smith, AR. Velma was born February 26, 1939 in Oroville, California to Elick & Ethel Shields. She was a homemaker. Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Ron Hunt on 9/7/2012; daughter, Faye Daffron; son, Robert Hill; brothers, Art, Oscar, James, Wayne & Butch Shields; sisters, Lily Joseph & Ursa Freda Shields.
She is survived by
her 3 daughters; Heather Mulligan of Panama, OK, Julie Hobson of Vacaville, CA,
Martha Shelton of Garden Valley, CA; son, Richard Hunt of Nice, CA.; 1 sister, Leslie Majah of Seattle, WA; 1 brother,
Wesley Shields of Reno, NV; 11 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren, numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives, & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Memorial services
will be 2 pm, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
The family will be
at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
