Earl Curry, born February 6, 1935 to
Isaac Frenzella (I.F.) and Myrtle (Ellis) Curry in Fisk,
MO. Graduated to glory on January 2, 2013 at the age of seventy-seven years,
ten months, and 27 days at his home in Wister, OK. Earl was also preceded in death by his
parents, brothers: George Isaac, Elmo and wife Virginia, and Tolbert and wife
Mary; brother-in-law Ernest Walker, and sister-in-law Fannie Lou Curry. Earl was an elder of the Poteau Church of
Christ. He worked for LeFlore County
for 15 years; he was a carpenter for 40+ years. He finished the 10th
grade in Depoyster
School in Missouri.
Earl is survived by his wife Beulah
(Keifer) Curry of the home. They were married on February 27, 1960. In the 52
years of marriage, they were blessed with one daughter Judy Evonne Curry born
December 6, 1960 and preceded him in death on October 4, 1970, three sons and
their wives: Clifton and Brenda of Conroe, TX, Curtis and Jackie of Porum, OK,
Gary and Tonya of Huntsville, TX. Ten grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren: Misty, husband Eric
and son Nolan of Colorado Springs, CO, Christopher and Kent of Conway, AR,
Michael and Kyle of Conroe, TX, Kevin and wife Kayla of Pocola, OK, Brad of
Porum, OK, Amber Saldana, husband A.J., daughter Esme and son Blane of El Paso,
TX, Cheyenne
and Caitlyn of Huntsville, TX. Three
brothers: Ralph and wife Billie of Midwest City, OK, Wayne and wife Vesta of
Poplar Bluff, MO, Vernon
and wife Judy of Poplar Bluff, MO. Four sisters: Sybil Walker of Memphis, TX,
Marie and husband Manley Gilpin of Searcy, AR, Eunice and husband Carrol
Robertson of Alton, TX, Gladys and husband Everett Williams of Memphis, TX.
Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Services
will be 10 am, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Ron Babbit & Paul Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Ellis
Chapel Cemetery,
Wister, OK. Pallbearers will be the LeFlore County
District # 2 workers. Honorary
Pallbearers: Lance Smith, Jim Seale, Bob Carter, Bob Marchant, Bud Morgan,
Cliff Morgan, and Billy Meeh.
The family will be at the funeral home
on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
I always thought Earl was such a sweet man. I know he will be greatly missed. Diann
