Alma M. Barnes, 86,
of Poteau, OK passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Poteau. Alma was born May 23, 1926 in Monroe, OK to Frank & Irene (Terry)
Riggs. She was a homemaker. Alma
was a lifelong resident of Poteau. She
was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James.
Survivors include
daughters, Lavanna Akins of Benton, AR, Kasey Barnes of Dallas, TX, Brenda
Jackson of Poteau, OK, Verna Cook of Springdale, AR, Susan Flowers of Tulsa,
OK; sister, Lola Grimes of Monroe, OK; 11 grandchildren and numerous great
grandchildren; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10
am, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK
with Rev. Bob Garrett officiating.
Interment will follow in Monroe
Cemetery, Monroe, OK.
