Fred J. Kerksiek,
74, of Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. Fred was born November 27, 1937 in Wakeeney,
KS to Henry & Minnie (Wrightmire) Kerksiek.
He was a veteran of the US
Air Force. He was a mechanic. Fred
attended the First
Free Will
Baptist Church
in Poteau. He was preceded in death by
his father and his wife, Beatrice. He
loved gardening, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include
his daughters Toni Kerksiek of Poteau, OK, Theresa Kral of Mansfield, AR;
grandson, Grant Kirksiek of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Shirley Rice of Pueblo, CO,
Henrietta Helming of Grand Lake, CO and Nancy
Braden of Parker, CO; brothers LeRoy Kirksiek of Colby, KS, Carl
Kirksiek of Greeley, CO; his mother, Minnie Kerksiek of Strasberg, CO; other
relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10
am, Saturday, August 4, 2012 graveside at Oakland
Cemetery, Poteau, OK.
with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
