ADRIAN SMITH

Adrian Smith, 63, of Shady Point, OK passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. Adrian was born September 2, 1948 in Stillwater, OK  to Farley Deshong Smith & Odessa Johnson. Adrian was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was the past Mayor of Shady Point for over 10 years. Adrian was preceded in death by his father Farley Smith.

Survivors include wife Becky Smith, daughters and sons in law Sheila & David Thompson of Poteau, OK, Jessica & Adam Castillo of Shady Point, OK, Adriana & Kendall Morgan of Shady Point, OK. 9 Grandchildren, Brooke & Dexton Davis, Tiffany Castillo, Colton Castillo, Blake Smith, Bayli Soriano, Gavin Morgan, Gannon Morgan, Tori Morgan, Chase Thompson. 1 Great Grandson Brexton Davis; mother Odessa; 3 sisters, Jimmie Alma Byers  of Spiro, OK, Nora Hamby of Spiro, OK, Sue Skelton of Panama, OK; 6 brothers, Zenas Smith of Russellville, AR, Dan Smith of Shady Point, OK, Deshong Smith of Spiro, OK, Jonathan Hanna of Spiro, OK, Vernice Hanna of Muldrow, OK, Larry Hanna of Spiro,OK.

Services will be 2pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Victory Worship Center in Spiro, OK with Rev. Brian Fouts officiating. Interment will follow at the Shady Point Cemetery in Shay Point, OK. Pallbearers will be Jerry Castillo, Will Stacy, John Goodwin, B.T. Cooper, Marion Akins, Chad Overton, Brock Hopson. There will be a family visitation Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at The Funeral Home from 7 to 8pm.
