Ruthie "Kay" Marsh

Kay Marsh, 58, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009 in Fort Smith, AR. Kay was born June 3, 1951 in Spiro, OK to Lee & Polly (Sutton) Williams. Kay was a homemaker. She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Poteau, OK. She had served proudly on the Poteau City Council for 15 years; was President of the Band Boosters & Quarter Note Club, a home room mother a number of times; a member of the women's ministry at the Nazarene Church and a long time supported of Poteau Pirate Football and other activities. Survivors include her husband, Jim Marsh of the home; 2 sons and daughter in law, Jay Marsh of Bixby, OK, Joey & Kasey Marsh of Poteau, OK; 2 daughters & sons in law, Jennifer & Eric Lamb of Poteau, OK, Jill & Michael Moss of Poteau, OK; sister & brother in law, Ruby & Carl Zinn of Amity, AR; brother & sister in law, Tommy & Darlene Williams of Rogers, AR; 7 grandchildren, Krisie Moss, Abbi Marsh, Tori Marsh, Mason Marsh, James Moss, Brendon Marsh, & Amelia Moss. Services will be 2 pm, Sunday, August 2, 2009 at First church of the Nazarene in Poteau, OK with Rev. David Gordon & Rev. Richard Dickinson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Pallbearers: Jonathan Clark, John Boevers, Louis Gill, Paul Quirk, Mark Pollard, Jeff Shockley, Podie Meeks, Danny Holdman, & Robert Swinford. Honorary pallbearers: Poteau Police Department. The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 pm, Saturday, August 1, 2009 to visit with relatives & friends.

    Kay was always looking out for my sister and I when we were running around the block on our bikes. I have great memories of her spirit and life. Your Family will all be in my thoughts through this time of need.
