Mark Joseph Meadows
Mark Joseph Meadows, 40, of Monroe, OK passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009. Mark was born on March 29, 1969 in Richwood, WV to John & Caroline (Clayton) Meadows. He was a member and Deacon at First Baptist Church of Monroe, a member of the Heavener Masonic Lodge; and had been a coal miner for the last 7 ½ years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and spending time with his family & friends. Most of all Mark loved being a Dad. He was a loving, husband, father, son, brother & friend. Mark’s grandparents, Otha & Zella Clayton, Harley Tyler, & Ester Green; a brother in law, Mike Carpenter; and an uncle, Jack Ervin preceded him in death.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Carpenter Meadows of the home; a daughter, Jordan Annette Meadows of the home; his parents, John & Carolyn Meadows of Cowen, WV; 3 sisters & brothers in law, Mary Jane Meadows of Brookwood, AL, Stanley Trenter of Cowen, WV, Karen & Loryn Lynch of Amherst, VA, Dolly & Danny Bragg of Tyoga, WV; 3 sisters in law & their spouse, Robin & Greg Ison of Brookwood, AL, Angie & Randall Emery of Lakewood, AL, & Lisa Carpenter of Terra Alta, WV; nieces & nephews, Savanna & Lacoda Lynch, Tony, Chad, Cole, & Truth Trenter, Daniel & Levi Bragg, Nikki Dodrill, Nikki & Mallory Ison, Madeline & Megan Emery, Hunter, Lakin, & Brittany Carpenter; great nephews & nieces, Apache & Cherokee Dodrill, Abigail, Joey, & Lilly Bragg, & Logan Hayes; numerous other relatives & loved ones and many beloved friends.
Funeral services for Mark were held at 10:00 am Friday, August 28, 2009 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with the Reverend Marcus Blair & the Reverend Greg Ison officiating. Interment followed the services in Monroe Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK. Pallbearers were Justin Thornburg, Brent Thompson, Loryn Lynch, Rick Wilson, Randall Emery, Cole Trenter, Chad Trenter, & Tony Trenter. Honorary pallbearer was Hunter Michael Carpenter.

ReplyDeleteI had no idea that July 4th would be the last time I'd get to hug youand tell you I loved you. I have always held a special place in my heart for you. I will forever cherish the last hug we shared and you said to me "I've always loved you girl". And to you Dearest Jordan, your dad will NEVER leave you! He loved you sooo much. NEVER would he have left you by choice. Please keep in touch as you are all we have of Mark, and what a great part of him you are!
