Mary L. Martin Mary L. Martin, 87, of Panama, OK passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 in Fort Smith, AR. Mary was born on October 7, 1921 in Honobia, OK to Johnny Pate & Pearl Anna (Richards) Wiles. Mary was a member of Poteau Church of Christ. She had worked as a waitress for approximately 40 years, 27 of them at the Black Angus Restaurant. Mary is survived by 3 daughters & sons in law, Joyce & Bill Minnis of Fort Smith, AR; Donna Kendrick of Poteau, OK, & Linda & Bob Brown of Poteau,OK; 3 sons & daughters in law, Jack & Billie Martin & Jim & Lynn Martin, all of Shady Point, OK & James D. Martin of Panama, OK; 13 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Ray of Shady Point, OK; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives & loved ones, & many beloved friends. Funeral services for Mary were held at 10:00 am Friday, May15, 2009 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with Bob Marchant & Jim Cook officiating. Interment followed the services in Fairview Cemetery in Panama, OK with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK. Pallbearers were Graig Oechner, Brian Wigginton, Michael Martin, David Mathis, Sammy Pierce, Don Martin, & Ron Dunn
