Daniel Keith McCarver

Daniel Keith McCarver, 24, of Poteau, OK passed away January 12, 2009 in Farmington, AR. Daniel was born February 11, 1984 to Bryant "Keith" & Coni [Barney] McCarver. Daniel was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 30 at First United Methodist Church, Poteau, OK; a member of the Chancellors Leadership Council @ UAFS; a member of Kappa Psi, SWOSU Chapter; a Pharm D Degree graduate of SWOSU Class of 2008. He was employed at Walgreen's Pharmacy since his graduation. Daniel was a quick-witted, humorous, light-hearted, playful & caring person. He was preceded in death by his father, Ketih McCarver; grandparents, Bryan McCarver, Joyce Ford, & Richard Barney. Survivors include his wife, Lacey [Stottsberry] McCarver of the home; mother, Coni McCarver of Poteau, OK; grandparents, Carolyn McCarver of Poteau, Jerry & Mary Ford of Poteau, Mary Barney of Wellsville, KS; great grandmothers, Edna Highfill of Poteau & Geraldine Inman of Medford, OR; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends. Services were held 2 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Bob Lee Kidd Civic Center in Poteau, with the Rev. Rick Snyder & Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers were Chance Graves, Jacob Doyle, Partrick Ford, Jake Thompson, James Ford, & Shawn Standford. Honorary pallbearers were Leo Olivarez, Larry Young, Bill Marvin, Connor Marvin, Colin Marvin, Andrew Taylor, Brandon Tarwater, Brian Pollard & Eddie Lockhart.

  1. We are so sorry to hear that Daniel will no longer be with us, but he will always be in our hearts. He was a very special person, and we are all blessed to have known him. To me he will always be known as "Dan the diaper man" my payers are with his mother and wife. I am so proud of what he has done in his short life. He will be missed. Uncle Shawn...

  2. I am terribly sorry to hear about all of your losses. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family. Daniel was a classmate of mine at UA Fort Smith. I can't imagine what you are going through. God bless all of you.
